Designated Products Tool

To help Federal agencies identify the designated products pertaining to each service/purchasing area, the Office of the Federal Environmental Executive (OFEE) developed a Designated Products Tool. The tool is an Excel file with separate worksheets that organize all the designated products (biobased/recycled content, ENERGY STAR/FEMP qualified, EPEAT registered, WaterSense labeled, ozone depleting alternatives, low standby power devices) by service (building construction, traffic control, etc.). The tool does not include items that are third-party certified or otherwise environmentally preferable. However, users can customize the tool and add such items as desired. OFEE will update the tool quarterly to add new items and delete old listings.
