Risk of Attack on Chemical Plants – Raises Homeland Security Issues

 

As reported by Eric Pianin, Staff Writer for the Washington Post in the Tuesday, March 12 edition of the Washington Post, a previously undisclosed study by the Army’s Surgeon General concludes that as many as 2.4 million people could be killed or injured in a terrorist attack against U.S. chemical plants that manufacture or hold toxic chemicals.
