This project is being conducted by the United Steelworkers, in conjunction with Queens College of the City University of New York. Free of charge, eligible workers can receive a medical exam, including chest X-ray and breathing test, and an educational workshop. This program also offers CT scans for early lung cancer detection to workers who have an elevated risk of lung cancer as a result of a combination of occupational exposures, age, and/or tobacco use.
