Dear Mr. Chairman:
Commitment 4.4 of the Department
of Energy’s (DOE) Implementation Plan for Recommendation 2002-3, Requirements for the Design, Implementation, and Maintenance of
Administrative Controls, calls
for the submission of a report on training completed and copies of changes to
relevant training plans on DOE Standard 1186-2004, Specific Administrative Controls
(SACs). All Environmental actions for
Commitment 4.4 have been met.
All
Environmental
Management (EM) sites have completed the required initial training for
Commitment 4.4.1. The copies of the
detailed training modules have been provided to your staff.
All
EM sites
institutionalized SAC principles into their training programs meeting the
requirements of Commitment 4.4.2. This
has been accomplished by modifying training programs, updating qualification
programs, or modifying existing training modules. Copies of these changes by
site have also been provided to your staff.
