DOE OSHA/NRC Liaison

DOE Logo ESH Logo DOE Logo

The function of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Liaison is to resolve jurisdictional issues between DOE and OSHA, and sometimes the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC).

In the process of environmental clean-up, portions of DOE real properties have been deeded to community re-use organizations and other private enterprises. These actions have precipitated the need to establish clear jurisdictional authority for occupational safety and health.
