To improve the efficiency and accuracy of the electronic
access control system used at Headquarters, a change
is being made to the access policy for individuals
who do not possess a Security Badge issued by Headquarters.
Individuals who do not require access to Headquarters
at least three days a week for a forty-five day period
will be granted access privileges only for the duration
of their current visit. They will not be granted open-ended
access to Headquarters facilities simply because there
is no expiration date on their badge.
Individuals who do meet the access requirement will
be granted access for a one-year period when their
access requirement is requested by their Headquarters
sponsor with the concurrence of their Headquarters
Security Officer. Requests for these individuals should
be forwarded to the Office of Headquarters Physical
Security Operations, HS-1.31.
Questions may be addressed to Marc Smith, HS-1.31,
202-586-4441.
