Scope:

The Department of Energy (DOE) Headquarters Operations Security (OPSEC) Program is established by DOE Order to ensure that Critical Program Information (CPI), including unclassified controlled information, is protected from inadvertent and unauthorized disclosure. It provides management with the information required for sound risk management decisions concerning the protection of sensitive information, and also ensures that OPSEC techniques and measures are used throughout DOE Headquarters. The OPSEC program implements required security strategies and security activities to accomplish the following:

Overseeing a comprehensive OPSEC awareness program

Participating in self-assessments

Performing OPSEC assessments

Performing OPSEC reviews
